Research and Planning: double page spread analysis

In this image there is the double page spread from the magazine NME. The author has chosen to use a medium close up of his model on the left hand page, this is to show the facial expression on  his face but to also show what he is holding in his hands. This i good way of showing the audience what genre and what type of artist that is portrayed in the image. As this image you can see that he has a plastic glass of beer so could suggest he's at a gig or some kind of outside event or festival. The clothing worn is a very simplistic and toned down essence of style which fits the genre of indie. The Colour scheme of the page is white and orange which is used in the text. The author has used a quote in the middle of the text to break up the text too make it a little less wordy and more appealing to read, he also shows a small image of the model with his band in the bottom corner and playing an instrument. The author also uses a slightly blue tinted background to make a border. The language used in the text is informal as they refer to the model as his first name and the use of punctuation one after each other e.g '?!'
